READING EAGLE, PA: Saturday, November 9,1918:
Michael Hauser: Following an illness of 10 days, Michael Hauser, aged 37 years and 8 months, succumbed to pneumonia at 5:45 p.m. Friday at the Reading Hospital. He was admitted on Tuesday, Nov 5 from his home, 518 McKnight Street. Mr. Hauser was born in this city and resided here all of his life. He was the son of Mary (nee Vogel) and the late Francis Hauser. For many years, deceased was employed by the Reading Railway as a molder. He had been in the employ of the company since a youth and worked in various other departments. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, the Ironmolder's Union and the P.and R. Relief. He leaves his mother and widow Margaret (nee Ryan) and one child Marie at home. also an adopted daughter, Helen Mumma, Reading. : these brothers and sisters: Raymond, Warren, Rhode Island, George, Chelsey, Massachusetts, Frank, Reading, Marcello, wife of Paul Brehm, Catharine, widow of George Ganter and Rose, wife of Walter Schearer, all of Reading.

From this we deduce that Michael was the brother of his mother and Michael adopted Helen after her mother and father divorced.

November 4, 1965-Mrs. E. L. Denscheilman
Mrs. Helen R. Denscheilman, 64, died yesterday in her home at 642 Moss St.
Born in Reading, a daughter of the late Williard and Marcella (Hauser) Mumma, she was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church.
Mrs. Denscheilman is survived by her husband, Elwood L. Denscheilman, a daughter, Catherine, wife of Gerald Pauley, Reading, a five grandchildren.
Funeral will be held Monday at 8:30 a.m. from the Whelan and Mountz Funeral Home with a High Requiem Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial will be made in Gethsemane Cemetery.
