[Obituary]
Fred J. Mumnma, constable of the Eighth ward, died at 5:40 a. m. today at his home, 220 West Cottage place. He was the husband of Catherine Willis Mumma, and was employed as an agent for Roy L. Geesey Insurance Company for 32 years. He belonged to St. John's Lutheran Church, Phi Alpha fraternity, American Legion Post 127, Dutch Club, Young Men's Democratic Society, Ninth Ward Political Club and the Eighth Ward Civic Association. Besides his widow, he is survived by two daughters. Mrs. Channing E. Mitzell, 820 South Pershing avenue, and Patricia A. Mumma, at home; a sister, Mrs. Ann Whitcomb, 730 East Market street; a brother, William G. Mumma, Harrisburg, and three grandchildren, The Rev. Enno A. Schmoock, pastor of St. Patricia A. Mumma, at home; a John's Lutheran Church will conduct the funeral at 2 p. m. Thursday at the Boll Funeral Home. 232 South George street. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions instead to the St. John's Lutheran School Building Fund.
