Several researchers report her birth as 11 July, 1853 and 11 Jun 1852, but she is listed in the 1850 census of Brown Township of Knox county whose age was 1/12. Therefore, she couldn't have been born in 1853. In the 1860 census she is listed as 10 years old confirming the information above. The only other possibilty is a child by the name of Lorinda, b. about May 1850 dies within the year and shortly thereafter, another girl is born and also named Lorinda after the first child.
