  committed Suicide Hung himself in the barn at the farm where he worked next door to his fathers farm in Burford, Ontario. Married Lucy Belle Lamb. They had five Children in 12 years. The family lived on 217 or 219 Nelson St. in Brantford Ontario. 1930 in the middle of the depression Howard and Lucy were attempting to buy a new house for the family when something went wrong and in frustration he went out to the barn and hung himself. Leaving a young wife with 5 kids they had to go on relief to exist. Evelyn and her brother and sisters attended King George School when their dad died. Cause of Death: Suicide Minister Rev. Roberts, Becketts Funeral Home Buried with his in-laws in Section J, West half of 5-26, Grave 6 near Charing Cross Street. Grave-site purchased when Howard commited suicide.
