Obituary: Forest A. Muma, 83
Forest A. Muma, 83, of Charlevoix, died Aug. 27, 1994, at
Northern Michigan Hospital.
Funeral will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, at Winchester
Funeral Home in Charlevoix. The Rev. Cecil Drost of Charlevoix
will officiate. Interment will be held at Brookside Cemetery in
Charlevoix.
He was born Sept. 28, 1910 in East Jordan, the son of Amber N.
and Goldie (Jackson) Muma.
In 1932, he married Elizabeth (Betty) Troyer in Angola, Ind.
She preceeded him in death on March 17, 1979. The couple moved
to East Jordan in 1946, and and to Charlevoix in 1952. He worked
for the Kaiser and Frasier Motor Co., and developed colors for
automobiles. He painted the first four cars from the factory.
He was also employed by Brown Motors in Charlevoix as a car
painter for many years and retired in 1974.
Survivors include four sons, Earl, and his wife, Alice, and
Gerald L. and his wife, Patty, all of Charlevoix, Robert D., and
his wife, Maria G., of Orange Park, Fla., and Richard A., and
his wife Dagmar, of Grand Rapids; nine grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer
Society.
Envelopes will be available at the Winchester Funeral Home in
Charlevoix,
where friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.
