Cemetery records at Harrisburg Cemetery list Jacob H. Mumma (DOD July 19, 1866) and Nancy (Anna) Hershey Mumma (DOD March 11, 1898) on the same burial plot. Nancy (Anna)'s burial record also states widow of Jacob Mumma
An obituary in the Harrisburg Telegraph, March 10, 1899, page one states:
"Mrs. Nancy Mumma, mother of Mrs. J. J. Ogelsby, No. 109 North Second Street, died last evening from heart trouble, due to old age. Deceased was in her 82 year, and had resided with her daughter for the past seven years. She was a believer in the United Brethren faith, but on account of infirmities was unable to attend church. She was born in Lancaster County and was a descendant of the Hershey family. She married Jacob Mumma, who died some time ago. The surviving children are: Mrs. J. J. Ogelsby, Mrs. P. Seiler, Jacob, who resides on Peffer Street, and Amos, the well-known operator at the Western Union Telegraph Office, of this city, and David, of Bowmansdale. The funeral will take place Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
