According to a Kalamazoo Gazzette obituary, Georgia E. Beegle passed away November 2, 1974. M rs. Beegle was born November 11, 1886 in Bloomingdale, the daughter of George and Sarah Rayma n and had been a resident here for 53 years. Surviving are her husband, Earl; two daughters , Mrs. William Hatfield of Pentwater and Mrs. John Meulman of Parchment; 6 grandchildren; 1 0 great-grandchildren; and eleven great-great-grandchildren. Religious services will be condu cted 11 a.m. Thursday by Reverend Cecil Martens, at Truesdale Funeral Home. Interment, Hillsi de Cemetery, Plainwell.
Other notes on Georgia Elizabeth Rayman: When I was 7 years old, my mother took me ove r to grandma Beegle's house in November of 1968. While there, I noticed a brand new fishing p ole sitting in the corner of the dining room. I asked grandma about it and she said it was fo r Ricky, my cousin. I was deepy saddened by her answer because I really wanted a pole like it . That Christmas, I opened up my packages, and lo and behold there was that shiny new pole . I have never forgot about that great gift that grandma gave me during the Christmas of 1968 . In addition, Georgia Beegle never drew a Social Security check. There is no record of her a t the Social Security Administration.
