Some researchers thought that Jonathan Mumma married Mary Hoffman Fearer in Allegany County, MD, in 1822, but that was her marriage to John Fearer. Mary Huffman and John Fearer subsequently migrated to Ogle county, IL. After both of their first spouses died, Jonathan Mumma and Mary Hoffman Fearer married.
