Anna Virginia Mumaw Snarr, 83, formerly of Strasburg, died Tuesday, July 27, 2004, in Shenandoah Memorial Hospital, Woodstock.
Mrs. Snarr was born Dec. 21, 1920, in Strasburg, the daughter of Arthur McCune and Ella Catherine Brill Mumaw. She worked at First Bank for seven years, at Shenandoah Publishing, Keister Advertising, for seven years, and First Virginia Bank. She was a licensed insurance agent and co-owner of Snarr Insurance and Real Estate Agency Inc. for 31 years.
She was a member of Lebanon Lutheran Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of Shenandoah American Legion Post 77 of Strasburg.
She was a graduate of Strasburg High School and Perry Business School.
She married Charles A. Snarr on July 1, 1939.
Surviving are a daughter, Marcia "Marcy" L. Bauserman of Toms Brook.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Riverview Cemetery, Strasburg, with the Rev. Bill Fisher officiating.
