Chesterfield County, announces the
marriage of his daughter, Mary
Ruth, to Elbert Lawson Mumma,
of Chester, son of the late Dr. and
Mrs. R. T. Mumma, last evening
at 8 o'clock in the parsonage of
Chester Methodist Church. The
Rev. Elmore Brow, pastor, offi-
ciated.
After a trip through the Smoky
Mountains, Mr. and Mrs. Mumma
will make their home in Chester.
The bride, daughter of the late
Mrs. Elizabeth Thacker Dyer, at-
tended White;s Business College.
The bridegroom, a graduate of
the University of Virginia, was a
first lieutenant in the European
Theatre during World War II/ He
is now acting postmaster of Chester.
