William E. Mumaw

William "Bill" Edward Mumaw, 46 of 493 Varghese Drive, Strasburg went home to the lord to "Tend a small garden in the corner of Heaven" of Sunday, October 19, 2003 in Winchester.
A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, October 22, 2003 at 1 p.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Toms Brook with Rev. Lynne Caldwell and Rev. James Baseler officiating. Burial will follow in Toms Brook Cemetery.
Mr. Mumaw was born May 21, 1957 in Woodstock, the son of the late William McCune Mumaw and Betty Jean Artz Mumaw of Strasburg. He was a graduate of Strasburgh High School Class of 1975, a graduate of Berea College in Kentucky with a degree in Agriculture and Religion and earned a MBA from Sehandoah University. he was a member of Emmanuel Evangelical and Reformed Church, Fishers Hill and attended St. Peter Lutheran Church, Toms Brook. He was a Grounds Superintendent at Shenandoah University. he was a member of Professional Grounds Management Society in Baltimore, MD and a member and spokesperson for the Lebanon-St. Stephen's Community Choir.
Surviving with his mother is his loving wife, Melissa Rutz Mumaw; his beloved son, Christopher Staten Mumaw, Strasburg; his sister, Jane Elizabeth Mumaw Shillingburg and husband, Ted of Toms Brook.
Pallbearers wil be Gene Fisher; David Rickard; John Keller, Jr.; Ted Shillingburg; Ray Ritenour, Jr.; and Bob Bauserman.
Honary paulbearers will be The Leabanon-St, Stephen's Community Choir members.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 21, 2003 from 7 till 9 p.m. at Stover Funeral Home, Strasburg and will meet at the church Wednesday at 12:30 p.m.
