Glen D. Mumma, 76, a lifetime resident of Brewster, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 1996, at his home in Brewster.
He was born Dec. 6, 1919, the son of Roy and Bertha (Gerig) Mumma at Brewster where he attended school.
Mr. Mumma joined the U.S. Army in 1942, serving in Papua, New Guinea, the Southern Philippines and Luzon during World War II. After being discharged in 1945 for a short time he lived in Arizona where he met Mabel Webb. They were married in July 1947 at Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
Mr. Mumma was a member of the Brewster American Legion Post No. 97.
He is survived by a son, Clyde Mumma, a grandson, Alex Mumma, his mother, Bertha Mumma, and a brother, Ray Mumma, all of Brewster. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel, a brother and a sister.
Services are under the direction of Barnes Chapel, Brewster.
