Robert Newton Mumma
Robert Newton Mumma, 78, entered eternal rest on April 21, 2009 at Select Rehabilitation Center at Holy Spirit Hospital, with family at his side.
Born January 10, 1931 in Highspire, PA, he was the only son of the late Issac Newton Mumma and Hazel Shingler Mumma. He attended William Penn High School.
Bob retired from Coca-Cola Enterprises, where he worked for 32 years. He worked the past ten years with Rohrer Bus driving a van for disabled children, whom he loved very much. Known as "Newt" or "Bob" by his many friends, he is remembered by the many memories and stories he created for all that knew and loved him. He was an avid fisherman and loved camping and summer vacations at the beach. He also enjoyed watching Nascar and spending time with friends and family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Dolores (Dee) Mumma; and five adoring children, son, Robert, Jr. and wife Patty of Moyock, NC; son, Steve of Harrisburg; son, Jeff and wife Robin of Camp Hill; daughter, Dolores and husband Troy Murray of Harrisburg; and son, Matt and wife Amy of Mechanicsburg. He also leaves behind 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
At his request, a celebration of life will be held at the family's convenience. Arrangements entrusted to Auer Cremation Services of Pennsylvania, Inc.
