NOTICE: Through DNA testing of men with the Mummy\Mummey\Mumy surname, I have been able to determine that the original surname of this family was MUMMY and became altered to MUMMA when Samuel Mumy enlisted in the Civil War in Harrisburg. He could not read nor write. Therefore, these descendants are not "genetically" related to the MUMMA family although that is the surname they use. - Doug Mumma doug@mumma.org

Per his death certificate, he was a laborer, widowed living in Lykens. He was buried in Lykens Cemetery. The person reporting his death was Mrs. Frank Stoner. She would be the wife if Edward's 1st cousin.
