Charles Albert Mumma 86, of Dauphin, died Thursday, June 10, 2010, at Hershey Medical Center.
Born in Fishing Creek Valley on August 28, 1923, he was the son of the late William and Lilly (Wade) Mumma. He was a graduate of William Penn High School. He retired from Conrail and the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers.
He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, of Dauphin. He was a life member of the Dauphin-Middle Paxton Fire Company, a life member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, a member of the Dauphin County 50 years straight voting in General Elections Club and the Senior Bowling Club ABC East.
He was predeceased in death by a daughter, Judy Malehorn and a grandson, Jeryme Mumma. He was also predeceased by his brothers, Marlin, William, Ehrman, Kermit, Earl and Kenneth.
Surviving are his loving wife of 64 years, Virginia (Ginnie) Kline Mumma, a son, Terry and his wife Mary, and four Grandchildren, Kristin, Steven, Shellee and Behnjamyn, his Sister, Doris Donmoyer and her husband, Harry, of Harrisburg, Niece, Tanya Swenson and family of Dauphin and Many Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 15, at 11 A.M. , at the Zion Lutheran Church, at the corner of Alleghany and Swatara Streets, in the Boro of Dauphin. The Rev. Randy Barr, officiating. Burial will be in Dauphin Memorial Park, Dauphin.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:30 to 11 A.M. at the church, prior to the service.
