MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Frank L. "Dutch" Utermoehlen, 75, of Little Cove Road, died Saturday, April 7, 2007, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital.
Born Dec. 24, 1931, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Frank and Florence Mumma Utermoehlen, and stepson of the late George Day.
He worked as a local woodworker/craftsman for the past 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen I. "Jo" Kananen Utermoehlen, whom he married March 22, 1974; two daughters, Ginger Hill of Silver Spring, Md., and Chase Newton of Mercersburg; two sons, Butch Utermoehlen of Warfordsburg, Pa., and Jim Utermoehlen of Mercersburg; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Mount Zion Lutheran Church, Little Cove, Pa. The Rev. W. Allen Reed will officiate. Private burial will be at the convenience of the family.
There will be no viewing, however the family will receive friends one hour before services Wednesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mount Zion Lutheran Church, c/o Helen Rank, 2511 Fort Loudon Road, Mercersburg, PA 17236.
Arrangements are by Lininger-Fries Funeral Home, Mercersburg.
