In the old days, Wilbur and his father were meat butchers who had a horse hitched to a "meat wagon" and were well known all over Wolburn, MA for their quality meat products. They often assisted people who were unable to pay.
Wilbur's father, Alfred L. Olson, was one of the four founders of the Scandanavian Evangelical Free Church in Woburn, MA in 1889. The church exists today as the Church of the Open Bible.
