  Data source is Linda Morris. E-mail LMorris@alumni.vanderbilt.edu? Marguerite worked in hat stores from the time she was 16 years old where she started as an apprentice in a hat shop in Regina. The store owner taught her to make hats, and from there she learned how to sell hats. In Montgomery, she worked in the hat departments of several different department stores--primarily Al Levy's and Montgomery Fair. For years she made yearly trips to New York to buy hats for the stores she worked in. Shortly after Sharon's marriage, she moved to Newport News, Virginia and worked at a store there. Then in the late 1970s/early 1980s she moved to Dayton, Ohio where she worked at Rikes Department Store until she retired and moved back to Montgomery, Alabama in 1985.
