"Mrs. W. G. Mumma, 75, Organist Dies
Mrs. Maude R. Mumma, 75 , of 18 Newport Road, Rothsville, died Monday at Hershey Medical Center at 3:45 p.m.
She was the wife of William G. Mumma, who died in 1967. She was born in Bollstown, a daughter of the late George and Ella Ressler Pipgress. She resided for 35 years at the home of her sister-in-law, Miriam Mumma.
She was a lifetime organist for the Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rothsville. She began playing there when she was 17. For the last 10 years, she was an alternate organist. She was a member of the Rabbit Hillers Senior Group of the church.
Surviving are these children:
Norman A., Lititz; C. William, Carmichael, Calif.; Sidney Mumma, Lititz; Marian J., wife of Nevin Walter, Lititz; 11 grandchildren; a brother, Harry Pipgress, Leola, and two sisters, Margery, wife of Grant Miller, Brunnerville, and Louella, wife of John Adams, Rothsville."
