Greenberry Browning married Eleanor Bowen (NOT Bourne; the transcribers of the early Ross County marriage records had trouble making out the script). Eleanor was the daughter of Jesse and Priscilla (Bowen) Bowen, originally of Calvert County, Maryland, but who migrated to Ross Co., OH. The LDS says that Greenberry was born about 1814 in Montgomery County, Maryland to Daniel and Achsah (Warfield) Browning. John Browning's middle name of "Warfield" would certainly fit with this paternal grandmother's maiden name.
