Betty L. Blauch PALMYRA Betty L. (Yingst) Blauch, 87, went to be with her Lord and Savior at Countryside Christian Community in Annville on Wednesday, July 16, 2014. Her loving husband, Elvin E. Blauch, predeceased her in 2002. She was born Monday, June 27, 1927, on the Morris Gessaman Farm in Dauphin County to the late Thomas Edward and Ada Estelle (Mumma) Yingst. She was self-employed for 46 years, caring for and cleaning houses of her valued clients. She was a member of Bellegrove U.M. Church, Farm Women, Bellegrove Fire Hall Auxiliary, Steelstown Friendship Builders, and was active in the Steelstown E.C. Church where she taught Sunday school, vacation Bible school, and was youth group leader. She enjoyed sewing, making quilts for her family, gardening, and lending a helping hand where needed. She donated over 1000 care bags to the Agape Family Shelter in Lebanon. Most of all, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be missed by many. She is survived by two daughters, Sharon L. Ail and husband, Timothy of Bloomsburg, and Beverly J. Rhoads and husband, David of Hummelstown; a son, E. Bradley Blauch and wife, Tammy of Lebanon; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and eight brothers and sisters. Two sisters predeceased her. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 21, at 11 a.m. at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra 17078 with Pastor David Alderson officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Annville. Family and friends are invited for viewing on Sunday, July 20, from 5 to 7 p.m. and from 10 a.m. until time of the service Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Agape Family Shelter, 139 S. 9th St., Lebanon, PA 17042 or you may bring a stuffed animal to the funeral home to be donated to the aforementioned cause.
