Notes:
Pfc. Carl. O. Mumaw, 21 was killed in action in France August 2, 1944; his wife Louise was informed last evening in a telegram from the War Department.
Pfc. Mumaw entered service August 31, 1943, and trained at Camp Gruber, Oklahoma, with the Rainbow Division. He went overseas June 1.
Survivors are his widow, their daughter, Catherine, 3, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Mumaw, his brother Amos of the United States Navy and his sisters, Mrs. Henry Vanzile and Miss Doris Mumaw.
A graduate of Ashland High School, Pfc. Mumaw was employed prior to entering the Army by the A. L. Garber Company. He was the 35th from Ashland County to die while in service.
