Her obituary reads:
"CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Romaine C. Carbaugh, 85, formerly of 561 Center St., died Monday, June 2 6, 2000, at Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born Sept. 9, 1914, in Waterfall, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Elmer L. and Edith M. Rickabaugh Cutchall. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. "Buck" Carbaugh, in 1992. She was an assembler for Hennessy Products Inc. in Chambersburg. Formerly, she worked as a nursing aide. She is survived by a daughter, Judy M. Pike of St. Thomas, Pa., a son, Larry R. Stains of Chambersburg; two brothers, Richard Cuthcall of Edenville, Pa. and Donald Cutchall of Chambersburg; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert R. Stains; and a sister, Louise Fittry. Services will be Thursday at 1 0 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road in Chambersburg. The Rev. George R. Pogue Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens in Chambersburg. Visitation will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday at 9 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association, Franklin/Fulton Division, 225 E . King St., Chambersburg, PA 17201; or American Lung Association of Central Pennsylvania, 604 1 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17101."
