Obituary
Guy M. Hess, 79, of Chambersburg, PA, died Wednesday morning, June 10, 2009 in Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born November 5, 1929 in Bethel Township, Fulton County, PA, he was the son of the late Wallace L. Hess and Madeline Truax Hess Spidel. He was a 1948 graduate of the Warfordsburg High School and a graduate of the former Chambersburg Business School. He served in the US Air Force from 1948-1952 serving his country during the Korean War. Guy was an accountant at Shippensburg University retiring in December of 1999 after 31 years of service. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Chambersburg and the Friendship Engine and Hose Company #1 in Chambersburg,
Guy is survived by his loving wife, Thelma Hann Hess, whom he married September 14, 1957; three children, Kenneth R. Hess, Nadine K. Stoler, and Douglas A. Hess, all of Chambersburg; and three grandchildren, Stephanie R. Stoler, Kristen R. Stoler, and Kaitlyn E. Hess.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
