His obit reads:
"Frank C. Mumma, aged 81 years, died at the North Side Convalescent Home, Youngstown, O., on Saturday Oct. 8, 1949. Mr. Mumma was born near Laidig, Taylor Township this county. He went to the Pittsburgh district in his early twenties where he followed the trade of carpentering, later taking up pattern making which trade he followed until retiring in 1939.
"He was united in marriage to Carrie F. Sipes on Dec. 24, 1895. They moved to Wilkinsburg where they lived until Mrs. Mumma's death five years ago and where Mr. Mumma continued to live until a year ago.
Being in poor health he went to make his home with his son but shortly afterward went to a hospital and later to the convalescent home. His remains were laid beside those of his wife in Woodlawn Cemetery, at Wilkinsburg. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Mar__n of the Second Presbyterian Church, of which he had been a life member. He was a member of class 100, men's bible class. He was a regular attendant as long as his heath permitted.
He is survived by one son Donley H. and one grandson Richard of Youngstown; one brother Samson of Wilkinsburg and two sisters Mrs. Hamer Howell and Mrs. Viola Syous, of Chicago, Ill. And a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Mumma was of a retiring disposition but had many friends." ( I believe Samson is Lawson, Pamela Mumma's note)
