His obituary:
"McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Malcolm "Max" A. Snyder, 92, of Fulton County Medical Center Extended Care Unit, and formerly of 106 Myers Ave., died Sunday, May 18, 2003, at the Extended Care Unit. Born Oct. 31, 1910, in Knobsville, Pa., he was the son of the late John W. and Rhoda Mumma Snyder. His wife, Mary L. Hamil Snyder, died March 8, 1963. He retired from Boro Maintenance of McConnellsburg. He was a member of Knobsville United Methodist Church. He was a member of McConnellsburg Volunteer Fire Co. He is survived by one daughter, Jean E. Snyder of McConnellsburg; two sons, James R. Snyder of Warfordsburg, Pa., and Jeffrey L. Snyder of Chambersburg; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Judith M. Uglow; five sisters, Nellie Dillbeck, Mary Wible, Anna Mellott, Mabel Sheffield and twin sister Marjorie Klem; and two brothers, Carl Snyder and Walter Snyder. Services will be Thursday at noon at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, McConnellsburg. The Rev. Donald Bard will officiate. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home."
