WM. MUMMA DIES FOLLOWING ACCIDENT

William R. Mumma, of Naulton, Pike township, Clearfield County, a well known and popular employee of the Cresent Plant of the North American Refractories Co., received injuries Saturday evening, March 24, when he fell down the flight of stone steps leading to the shop of the Bennington Electric Co. on State Street, Curwensville, which resulted in his death at 7:35 o'clock, Monday morning.
After the accident he was taken home in an unconscious condition and on Sunday afternoon removed to the Clearfield hospital. Here it was found that he was suffering from a scalp wound and a fracture at the base of the skull. He died without regaining consciousness.
Mr. Mumma was a native of Fulton County, the son of George and Mrs. Sara Breckbill Mumma, born October 24, 1870, being aged 63 years, five months, and two days. He came to this section when a young man and engaged in farming in Pike township prior to his employment with the refractories company. Besides his wife, Mrs. Josephine Mumma, he is survived by a son, AI Mumma, of Milwaukee, Wis., a daughter, Mrs Pearl Suberts, of Pike township, and three brothers, James Mumma, of Curwensville, and Harry and John Mumma, of Laidig, Fulton county.
The funeral was held at the Lininger funeral home on State Street, Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock and was conducted by Rev. A. R. Turner, pastor of the M. E. Church. The interment was made in Oak Hill cemetery.
