In visiting people in Fulton County they mentioned a Mumma by the name of Ai (pronounced as a seperate long A then long i) coming out from Colorado to visit. In another visit Clark Brant's wife provided me with a photo of William and Josephine with 2 children. In yet another visit, in talking with another "old timer" he said William and Josephine had a son by the name of Ai as well as a daughter Pearl. Is Albert Ai? I have to assume that Albert is a mistake deriving from a capital i looking like an L and possibly someone making an assumption that Al was Albert.... so, although I do not know where the name Albert came from, I will keep it in this file, since it is not yet explained. It was in one of the original gedcoms that was merged with no source listed. note by Pamela Mumma, mumma6@yahoo.com 2003
In the 1920 cenus Ai P. Mumma is clearly living with William and Josephine and sister Pearl.

"Ai Mumma - Ai is one of the most energetic boys of our class. He has always been very brilliant in his studies. This young man is always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone. If ever you want a friend you can depend on Sonny."
Went through all 691indexed soundex names in Ancestry.com 1930 Federal Census of Milwaukee, Wisconsin with no Ai Mumma listed.
Went through all 561 Mumma and 33 Muma exact spellings in Ancesrty.com 1903 for Pennsylvania. No luck finding an Ai, AL, or Sonny Mumma. Nothing popped up with soundex Ai Mumma either. His parents were living in Clearfield County, PA in 1930.

Of interest, the SSDI lists 11 people who died in Clearfield, PA who had the first name of "AI", so it was a relatively common name in that area.
