"WARFORDSBURG, Pa. - Nile E. Hill, 61, of Pine Ridge Assisted Living, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004, at Fulton County Medical Center in McConnellsburg, Pa. Born May 9, 1943, in Laidig, Pa., he was the son of the late Frederick Nile and Sara Marjorie Lake Hill. He retired in 1997 from Mellott's Wood Preserving, where he worked as a technician since 1972. He served in the Army National Guard. He attended Pleasant Grove Christian Church in Needmore, Pa. He was a member of Needmore Fire Co. He is survived five sisters, Jean P. Henry of Winchester, Va., Elizabeth E. Merica of Needmore, Florence M. Billett of Mount Joy, Pa., Althea B. Anderson of McConnellsburg, Pa., and M. Nancy McBride of Largo, Fla. Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Christian Church in Needmore. The Rev. Denver Plessinger and Pastor Lowell Bard will officiate. Burial will in Pleasant Grove Christian Cemetery in Needmore, with military honors by the Fulton Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home in McConnellsburg. Visitation also will be Sunday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church. The funeral home will open Saturday at 4 p.m."
