Edward A. Mumaw, 61, Martinsburg, died Wednesday, September 10, 1997 in Avante Nursing Home in Harrisonburg, VA.
He was the son of Violet Mary Penwell Mumaw, Martinsburg, and the late Alston Mumaw.
He was employed by U.S. Silica of Berkeley Springs.
He was past treasurer of Teamsters Local 992.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
He was past president of the Hedgesville Boosters Club.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Annie Hicks Mumaw, Martinsburg; one son, Timothy Mumaw, Falling Waters; one daughter, Deborah Mumaw, Hagerstown, MD; one stepson, Johnny Morgan, Martinsburg; one stepdaughter, Betty Saville, Martinsburg; one sister, Delores Foltz, Martinsburg; and eight grandchildren.
Services were at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, September 14 at the Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg, with the Rev. Raymond E. Jones officiating.
Interment was in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
