Kathryn?graduated?from?Northfork?High?School?in?1942?and?West?Virginia?University?in?1948.?She?was?employed?by?the?state?as?a?Child?Welfare?Worker?in?the?counties?of?Raleigh,?Greenbrier,?Monongalia,?Hardy,?and?Hampshire.?She?also?worked?for?the?Hardy?County?Board?of?Education?for?24?years?and?joined?FEMA?in?1985.?Kathryn?was?on?the?Rural?Development?Board,?the?Moorefield?High?School?Scholarship?Board,?the?Moorefield?Park?Board,?and?the?Heritage?Weekend?Board,?where?she?served?as?Chairman?three?times.?She?was?a?member?of?the?Duplicate?Bridge?Club,?the?American?Association?of?University?Women,?and?the?Moorefield?Active?Caring.?She?was?a?longtime?member?and?former?Worthy?Matron?of?Chapter?102?Moorefield?Eastern?Star.?She?was?also?an?Elder?and?Deacon?in?the?Moorefield?Presbyterian?Church.???In?addition?to?her?parents,?she?was?preceded?in?death?by?her?husband,?Lewis?S.?Moomau,?and?five?brothers.?She?is?survived?by?one?daughter,?Mollie?Prominski;?one?son,?William?D.?Moomau;?and?three?grandchildren,?Bert?Leatherman,?Blake?Moomau,?and?Kathryn?T.?Moomau. The?family?will?receive?friends?from?6:00-8:00?p.m.,?Monday,?December?8,?2014?at?Elmore?Funeral?Home.?A?funeral?service?will?be?conducted?at?11:00?a.m.,?Tuesday,?December?9,?2014?at?the?Moorefield?Presbyterian?Church?with?Pastor?Katherine?Jackson?officiating.?Burial?will?follow?in?Olivet?Cemetery.
