Kenneth Moomaw, 80, of Ghent, passed from this earth Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2006, at home after a long battle with cancer.

Born in Daniels, he was the son of the late Frederick Carl Moomaw and Ethel Bruebaker Moomaw.
Mr. Moomaw was a retired mechanic, having worked at a local dealership and at his own auto repair shop in Shady Spring for many years.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 years, Patricia Moomaw; daughter, Vicky Anderson and husband, Buford Anderson, of Shady Spring; sons, Gregory Moomaw and wife, Janie, of Table Rock, Mark Moomaw and wife, Mary, of Cool Ridge and Kenneth Harold Moomaw II and wife, Darla, of Mount View; sister, Ganet and husband, John Smith, of Shady Spring; brother, Edward and wife, Elsie Moomaw, of Russellville, Ala.; brother-in-law, Glennis Horn of Virginia; grandchildren, Michael Anderson and wife, Patty, Russell Anderson, Kevin Anderson of Shady Spring, Brad Bostic, Jason Bostic, Angela Bostic, Michelle Black and husband, David, of Cool Ridge, Crystal Allen and husband, Brad, Mark Anthony Moomaw II of Cool Ridge and Eli Moomaw of Mount View; and great-grandchildren, Matthew Anderson, Erica Black, Kayla Black, Justin Black, McKinsey Black, Miranda Allen and Sydney Allen.
Graveside rites and burial will be 11 a.m. today at Skaggs Cemetery with Brother Danny Winders officiating.
All wishing to attend, please meet at Rose & Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel one hour before service.
