Pauline M. Moomaw 1921-2017
96, of Aiken, S.C., passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Anchor Health and Rehab Center in Aiken, S.C. She was born in Shady Springs, W.Va. on July 28, 1921 to the late Berman and Willie Farley. Pauline was employed in the produce department at Fisher Foods for many years. She was a 65 year member of the Canton Baptist Temple, where she belonged to the Jolly 60's. Pauline was very quiet and observant and listened more than she spoke. She was a simple woman yet very sophisticated with grace. She was an Angel on Earth with a wonderful soul and spirit who would read her Bible everyday. Pauline was humble and grateful for what she had and what others did for her. She loved her ice cream drumsticks, but nothing meant more to her than the time she spent with her family. Pauline fought to the very end and will always be remembered as a kind, caring and gentle woman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Moomaw on January 19, 2011; her brothers, Boone, Berman Jr. and Kelsey Farley; and her sister, Lola Cooper. She leaves her son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Mary Moomaw of South Carolina; grandchildren, Michelle (Dan) Ackenbrack and Beverly (Mark Coates) Nadal; great grandchildren, Myranda and Nico Nadal and Nicole Ackenbrack; great grandchild, Kensly Blaine Jackson; her sister, Doris Griffith of Martinsburg, W.Va. and many nieces and nephews.
