Thomas L. Horst, 64, of Duncannon, PA, passed away Friday, April 27th, 2012 suddenly, at his residence. He was the husband of Linda K. (Toad) Mumma Horst.
He was born in Harrisburg, on September 7, 1947, a son of the late Beatrice (Marshall) and Lester P. Horst.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a supervisor at the former Progressive Service Die Co.
Tom enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Newport VFW, a life member of the Owl's Nest and two-time Past Commander of the American Legion Post 340 of Duncannon.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Thomas L. Horst Jr., husband of Jackie, of Duncannon; grandchildren Garrett Levi Horst and Caitlin Renee Horst; sister, Cheryl M., wife of James Brown, of TN; brothers, Robert L. Horst, husband of Connie, of Lemoyne, PA; Donald R., husband of Betty Horst, of Harrisburg; Jeffrey R. Horst, of TN; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Wednesday, May 2nd at 1pm in the Neumyer Funeral Home, Inc., 1334 N.2nd Street, Harrisburg, with Pastor Robert V. Bishard officiating. Viewing will be from 6pm to 8pm, Tuesday, May 1st in the funeral home.
Burial with Full Military Honors in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
