Audrey L. Stains, age 65, of 1511 North Franklin Street, Chambersburg, died Sunday June 18, 2006 in her home. Born November 2, 1940 in Roaring Spring, Blair County, Pa., she was a daughter of Esther Mae Hamm Bowser of Chambersburg and the late Eugene Dale Bowser. Her husband, Robert R. Stains, whom she married June 30, 1962 in Hagerstown, Md., preceded her in death on March 29, 1998. She was a member and employee for many years with Chambersburg Moose Lodge 842 in Chambersburg and she also worked as a Pharmacy Technician in the Weis Market Pharmacy in Chambersburg. She was a member of Freedom In Christ Church, Chambersburg. She is survived by three daughters, Laurie Weyant and husband Geary of Bedford, Pa., Bobbie Thomas and fianc? Donnie Brechbill of Chambersburg, Dixie Heim and husband Gary of Hanover, and a son, Charles R. Stains and wife Wende (Shuman) of Fayetteville, Pa. She is also survived by two brothers, Joseph L. Bowser and wife Marian of Leonardstown, Md., and Byron Bowser and wife Doreen of Waynesboro, twelve grandchildren, Geary Weyant II, Shannon Weyant, Shane Weyant, Danielle Weyant, Curtis Thomas, Brittany Thomas, Lacey Russell, Brandy Humwood, Jerry Humwood, Kathy Heim, Chuck Stains, Jr., and Michael Stains, as well as six great grandchildren. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth Dale Bowser, William Henry Bowser, and Ronald Leslie Bowser, and one sister, Peggy Lou (Bowser) Feathers. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday June 22, 2006 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. John Pogue will officiate. Interment will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
