Carrie died of lobar pneumonia during the flu epidemic of 1918.
On Apr. 9, 1920, Milton S. Haines was married by Rev. A. S. Hottenstein to Margie B. (Grabill) Kiehl, whose husband had also died on Sept. 12, 1917 (Marriage Index 1885-1936, vol. R-4, no. 9393, Lancaster County Archives). I do not know when or why Milton S. Haines became C. Milton Haines as on his gravestone.
