MOWEAQUA - Violet M. Black, 85, of Moweaqua passed away at 10:45 p.m. Monday (Aug. 21, 2006) in St. Mary's Hospital. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday (Aug. 24, 2006) in Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Macon, IL with visitation one hour prior to services.
Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Macon Presbyterian Church. Messages of condolence may be given to the family via e-mail at www.dawson-wikoff.com.
Mrs. Black was born January 19, 1921 in Chestnut, IL the daughter of Martin and Mary Lange. She was a member of Macon Presbyterian Church where she served as a deacon, she also served on the council at the Eastern Star Home in Macon. She retired from Goldblatts in Decatur and J.C. Penney's in Pana. She was married to William Skinner for 28 years, she later married Charles Black of Macon.
Surviving is her step-daughter: JoAnne Lucuis and her husband Les of Ashland, WI; step-grandchildren: Michel, Pat, David, Jim, Rick, Bonnie and Diane; 14 great step-grandchildren; brother-in laws: Paul Black and his wife Joann of Macon, IL, Richard Black and his wife Marilyn of Decatur, IL, Harold Jostes of Boody, IL; mother-in-law: Gladys Black of Macon, IL; Many loving nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands and sister-in-law: Dorothy Jostes
