Treva Joye Mumaw, 92, from Belvue, Kansas, passed away at her home surrounded by the love of her family on September 30, 2025.
Treva was born on August 15, 1933, in Havensville, Kansas, to parents James Martin and Veda Mae (Channel) Armstrong. After graduating from Havensville High School in 1952, she married Lyle Everett Mumaw on December 28, 1952, at Bucks Grove Church in Soldier, Kansas. They spent 54 joy-filled years together before his passing in 2007.
Treva dedicated her life to creating a home where everyone felt welcome. As a devoted homemaker, Treva built a life rich with love, laughter, and the constant presence of family.
Treva leaves behind her loving family. Treva is survived by her siblings, Janice Chrest and Phillip Armstrong; children, Kyle (Laura) Mumaw from Louisville, Kansas, Leann DeLong from Topeka, Kansas, and Curtis Mumaw from Topeka, Kansas; grandchildren, Carlie (Kyle) Sommer, Kyle (T.J.) Mumaw, Timothy (Karen) Mumaw, Kristin (Justin) Brown, Nathan DeLong, Dylan (Crystalyn) Mumaw, Hilary (Ben) Prewitt, and Ethan Mumaw; fifteen great-grandchildren; and her many friends and extended family.
Treva now joins her parents, James and Veda Mae Armstrong; spouse, Lyle Mumaw; siblings, Patricia Clements, Max Armstrong, and James Armstrong; and great-grandchildren, Ava Mumaw and Abbott Mumaw.
Treva's family will greet guests during a Visitation Service at Campanella & Stewart Funeral Home, Wamego, Kansas, on October 18, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. A private family inurnment will follow the visitation.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Wamego Senior Center. Please make checks payable to the "Wamego Senior and Community Center" and those may be left with Campanella & Stewart Funeral Home, P.O. Box 48, Wamego, KS, 66547.
