Donald C Mumma, age 74, passed away in his home in Johns Creek, GA on Saturday July 9th, 2011. He was born in East Orange, New Jersey to Charles & Grace Mumma and raised in the Caldwell's. He graduated from Caldwell High School in 1954. Upon completing High School Donald went to Fort Benning, GA. where he served in the military for 2 years. Don then returned to New Jersey to marry his high school sweetheart Nancy Jane Moreland. He attended night school and started a career as a salesman of instrumentation which he later retired from. He and Nancy had three children and were transferred to Acton, Massachusetts and later to Atlanta, GA, where his entire family still currently reside. He and Nancy were happily married for 54 years. Don is well known for his great love of the Lord and his family. He always looked for opportunities to make a difference in the lives of others. He spent many hours doing personal and group bible studies. His favorite past time was spending time with his children and grandchildren. Don will be remembered for his fun loving Spirit and sense of humor. He will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife Nancy Mumma. His daughter and son in law Susan and Barney Crawford. His son and daughter in law Gary and Linda Mumma. His Son Doug Mumma. His grandchildren Joshua and Sara Slaback. Family, friends, and others who wish to celebrate the life and homecoming of Donald Mumma are invited to a memorial service at the Chapel at Perimeter Church * 9500 Medlock Bridge Rd * Johns Creek, GA on July 12th, 2011 at 2:00 pm. A reception will be held following the service at the church. Arrangements by SouthCare Cremation Society and Memorial Centers in Alpharetta (678) 735-5500.
