Since they married in 1869 after "John Stark" was born, it is unclear whether John is a son of Elias, a child of Kate, or simply a relative of Elias. The 1910 census lists only 2 wives for Elias and this would suggest that he was not married prior to his marriage to Kate Mumma - but census information is often wrong. No entry is found in the 1880 census for John, suggesting he died or was living with another family.
