Doris Bivens, 73, of Brookings, died Nov. 28, 2005, in Palmdale, Calif., while visiting family.
She was born Sept. 1, 1932, in St. Louis, Mo.
She was an active member of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in Brookings. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
She is survived by her children Kathi Tullis, Robbin Waters, Gwen Mummaw, Jim Stewart, Chris Stewart; their spouses Andy Tullis, Mike Waters, Ron Mummaw, Ellyn Stewart, Brenda Stewart; 14 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and her dear friend, George Shaver.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, James Stewart, and her husband of two years, Jack Bivens.
A celebration of her life will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 5, at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church.
