Funeral announcement in Baltimore Sun (Mar 4, 1896) says that he was buried at Stablersville Maryland and died at the home of his son-in-law, John W Hendrix. Margaret died 17 April 1879 and is buried at Stablersville.
BURIAL OF MR. JOHN McCUBBIN
Mr. John McCubbin, aged eighty eight years, was buried in the Stabler's
Methodist Episcopal Churchyard, near Stablersville, in the seventh district, the funeral services having been held in the church. Mr. McCubbin died Saturday at the home of his son-in-law, Mr. John W. Hendrix, near Rock Chapel, in York county, Pa. He was born in Baltimore county and lived there all his life until recently. Seven grown children survive him.
