Robert L. Gingrich 90, of Harrisburg, died Monday, December 26, 2016 at Community General Osteopathic Hospital.
Mr. Gingrich was born in Harrisburg and was the son of the late Earl and Mary (Mumma) Gingrich. He was retired from Houck & Company, Inc., where he was Vice President. He was a member of Robert H. Hoke American Legion Post 272, Linglestown, V.F.W., Disabled American Veterans, Masonary Contractors Assn. and Crosspoint United Methodist Church. Mr. Gingrich was a veteran of WW II, serving with the U.S. Army.
Mr. Gingrich was predeceased by his wife, Fern R. Gingrich (having celebrated 67 years of marriage), his sisters; Mary Smith and Lorretta Cutman, his brothers; Earl Gingrich and James Gingrich.
Mr. Gingrich is survived by his daughter, Kerry (Paul Terpilowski) Gingrich of Homewood, Ill.; his son, Robert L. (Pam) Gingrich II of Harrisburg; his granddaughters, Melissa Ross and Catie Gingrich; his sisters, Phyllis Snyder of Mechanicsburg and Marion Knight of Harrisburg; his brother, Richard (Barb) Gingrich of Sun City Center, Fla.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Crosspoint United Methodist Church, 430 Colonial Road, Harrisburg. The Rev. David Biser will be officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, with Full Military Honors.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church, prior to the service.
Arrangements are by the Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., Harrisburg.
