GOSHEN [mdash] Lowell Mumaw, 94, Goshen, died at 11:15 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, at Greencroft Goshen Health Care.
He was born April 18, 1924, in Wakarusa, to Ira Mumaw and Martha (Weaver) Mumaw Leinbach.
He married Mildred (Bontrager) Mumaw
She died June 25, 2006.
Surviving are children, Marcia (Curtis) Jantz, Wells, Texas, Gloria (Bob) Verbanac, Indianapolis, and Eric (Kim) Mumaw, Goshen; three grandchildren; sister, Gladys Mast, Goshen; half-brothers, Gerald Leinbach, Hesston, Kansas, and Russel Leinbach, Goshen; and stepsister, Fern Yontz, Goshen.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mildred; sister, Mary Louise Kalbfleisch; stepsiblings, Maurice Leinbach, Howard Leinbach, Kenneth Leinbach, J.R. Leinbach, Catherine Walter, Louida Mae Mishler, Irma Shank and Betty Herendeen.
Lowell was a 1942 graduate of Wakarusa High School and a member of Living Waters Mennonite Church, Goshen. He retired from local trailer factory companies and was a self-employed painter.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, with the funeral service following at 2 p.m., all at The Meeting House, Greencroft, Goshen.
Burial will follow at Elkhart Prairie Cemetery.
