Jack Shane Hardesty, 37, of Ephrata, entered into rest unexpectedly in Clay Township on Thursday, April 1, 2010.
He was born in Brynmawr, a son of Jack and Pamela Mumma Hardesty.
Jack is the husband of Lori Weik Hardesty of Ephrata.
He was a food service manager for Canteen and fulfilled his life-long dream of acquiring his private pilot?s license.
Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are sons, Alec Hardesty, Brayden Mendenhall, and Dustin Hardesty all of Ephrata, 4 daughters, Kaitlyn Hardesty of Ephrata, Brooke Mendenhall of Akron, Blair Mendenhall of Ephrata, and Briana Mendenhall of Ephrata, a grandchild, Karson Michael Erwine, and 2 brothers, Patrick Hardesty of Wisconsin, and Brian Hardesty of North Coventry.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 6, at 6:00 PM at New Life Fellowship, 420 E. Fulton St, Ephrata, PA 17522, with Pastor Mike Wenger officiating. Family will receive friends after the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a fund to help with funeral expenses at Sovereign Bank, 370 N. Reading Rd., Ephrata, PA 17522 in care of Jack Shane Hardesty.
