Susan,
So glad your address is still the same. Yep, I'm in Ohio, living near Cleveland (Mentor), but grew up in Montgomery Co., OH near Brookville, northwest of Dayton. Alvin Kingrey (1902-1986) m. Effie Osswald (1895-1988). She was the sister to my grandfather. I knew them both very well as they lived only about 4 miles from our farm. My older daughter remembers fondly helping Aunt Effie gather eggs on their farm. We just returned this weekend from the 90th Osswald reunion on one of the old family farms. Several Kingrey descendants were there.
Alvin was a grandson of Joseph W. Kingrey. Note Jos. was the only member of his family to spell the name Kingrey rather than Kingery. Attached are 11 pp of the family that I just completed. Would appreciate any corrections of additions you may have.
As for Rhoades, if they came from Darke Co., OH or anywhere in the vicinity, then they are related to me. I'm probably the deepest researcher of the Rhodes/Rhoades/Rhoads family that originated in Bedford Co., PA and came to Montgomery Co., OH in 1810.
Rog Rhoads

I've learned a lot more since then, including a major error in his lineage (thanks to my aunt!). But I would still be interested in anything you have. Joseph was my paternal gggrandfather; Kingrey was my maiden name. Also, I'm related to some Rhoades on my mother's side. Different spelling, apparently, but.... Are you in Ohio?
Thanks.
