Irma L. Mumma, 69, a local businesswoman and lifelong resident of Brewster, died Monday, July 3, 1995, at her home following a brief illness.
She was born January 26, 1926, at Paradise Hill to Guy and Caroline (Raymond) Waggoner. She attended schools in Monse and Brewster.
She married Ray Mumma on August 8, 1942, in Brewster. They owned and operated Mumma Trucking since 1946, retiring in 1984. She was a member of the Washington Horse Breeders Association. Survivors include her husband, at the home; four daughters, Alberta Morley and Carol Swearingen, both of Brewster, Lynn Coleman of Chelan and Nancy Fitzhugh of Spokane; one brother, Guy Waggoner Jr., Brewster; for sisters, Evelyn VanBrunt and Frances Tupling, both of Brewster, Fred Wooley of Shelton and Karen Magneson of Mansfield; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be conducted Friday, July 7, at 2 pm from Barnes Chapel with Pastor Stan Beeman officiating. Interment will follow at Brewster Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Barnes Chapel, Brewster.
