James H. Grove
James H. Grove of West Palm Beach, FL, formerly of Lancaster, died Sept. 6 at the home of his daughter after a brief illness.
Mr. Grove was retired since 1978 from Social Security, Woodlawn, MD after 28 years of service.
Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late James C. and Anna Mary Hoover Grove.
His wife of 53 years, Dorothy Pfeister Grove, died in 1995.
Surviving are a daughter, Cherri Grove Mumma of Royersford, PA; two grandchildren, Marc Shane Mumma married to Amy Nash Mumma of Royal Palm Beach, FL and Jamilyn Orsini married to Christopher L. Orsini of Phoenixville, PA; two great grandchildren, Nash Mumma and Jace Orsini; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Hoover and Charlotte Richmond.
Burial will be on September 25, 2008 at 11 AM in Riverview Memorial Park, S. Duke St., Lancaster.
