FALKE, Margaret M. age 79, of Kettering Ohio, died peacefully on October 24 following a short battle with a rapidly advancing cancer. Peggy was born on March 10, 1933 in Dayton, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Mumma) Greenwood. She graduated from Julienne High School and the Dayton Art Institute, where she became a faculty member. She was a gifted artist and taught drawing, painting and art history at DAI and at University of Dayton. Later she shifted careers and joined the Patient Relations staff at Kettering Hospital, then served as an ombudsman at the Area Agency on Aging before retiring. Peggy was a caring and devoted mother to her three children Joe, Mary, and Leo Falke. Her family is especially grateful for her efforts in helping Mary, who is deaf. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and by her son Leo, and is survived by her brother Joseph Greenwood (now of Montgomery Alabama), her daughter Mary, her son Joe, and her grandson Luca. Peggy and her family express their heartfelt thanks for the compassionate care she received in her last days at Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton 45420 where donations in her name can be directed. A Memorial Mass and reception will be held Saturday, November 3 at 10:30 am, St. Francis of Assisi, 6245 Wilmington Pike, Centerville 45459.
