Christopher Jon Mumaw
FOUNTAIN HILL
Christopher Jon Mumaw, 46, of Fountain Hill, formerly of Easton and Williams Township, passed away Friday, December 25, 2020 at his home.
Born February 23, 1974, in Easton, PA, he was the son of Barry L. and Diana (Krahwinkel) Mumaw, of Williams Township.
He was a 1992 graduate of Wilson Area High School. He graduated in 1999 from Kutztown University.
He was currently the owner and operator of Chris Mumaw Productions where he was an audio engineer starting the company in May 2011. He also owned and was head cook of Zombie Barbeque. Previously, he was employed by Clark Media Productions from 1999-2011. His career in audio production was rewarding because he was able to work with longtime best friends Matt Hamm, Jeremiah Rouse, Mike Marcucci, Nick Romano, Bill Keller and Tim Dangler who he considered brothers and were part of the Penn 10 Group.
Chris enjoyed cooking and was passionate about BBQ competitions along the East Coast, more importantly, spending time with Joanna and his many friends and competitors. He also enjoyed mountain biking, hiking, snowboarding, skateboarding with Brian Ross, playing his guitar and watching live bands. Chris was truly compassionate and overwhelmingly generous.
He loved all dogs, especially his Kaiser and Kuna. Despite being raised by parents who were Red Sox fans, Chris was an avid Yankee fan, causing many deep discussions in the family!
He was a former member of Forks United Church of Christ, Stockertown. He was a member of the Kansas City Barbeque Society.
He was loved and will be deeply missed by his parents, Barry and Diana; a sister, Audra Mumaw Moraski and her husband. Gregory, of Gainesville, FL; two nephews, Alexander and Benjamin Moraski; and many aunts, uncles and cousins including Ronald and Joan Mumaw, of Plainfield Township, and James and Bess King, of Hellertown. Chris is also survived by his companion of 20 years, Joanna Moyer, with whom he resided, and her parents, Barry and Jacqueline Moyer, of Yorktown, VA.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a celebration of Christopher's life will be held at a later date. The Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson Borough, is in charge of arrangements. Offer online condolences at www.strunkfh.com.
